How To Qualify?

 

To be able to qualify to use the iLAP logo, all applicants need to check that the Goods and/or Services they wish to display the logo on follow all the Certification requirements and that they agree with the criteria set out by ‘I love Australian Products’. The Australian Origin Goods or Services need comply with the key attributes below.

Breakdown Of Requirements

TYPE 1 - CORE INGREDIENTS (Excludes Packaging)

One Ingredient Goods must be a minimum of 100%

(eg. Macadamia Nuts, Pure Orange Juice) Goods of Australian origin make up 100% of the total volume.

Mixed ingredient Goods must equal a total of 80%

(eg. Muesli, Soap) of Australian origin must make up at least 80% of the total volume.

TYPE 2 - CORE PRODUCT - Solid Goods items (Excludes Packaging)

One Part / Piece 100%

Finished one part Goods (eg. Pottery, Glassware) of Australian origin make up 100% of the total volume.

Multiple Parts / Pieces 80%

Goods containing one or more parts (eg. A Solid Red Gum Wooden Table, finished off with glue, screws and draws with metal handles) of Australian origin must make up at least 80% of the total volume.

TYPE 3 - CORE SERVICE - A Company providing a service

100% Australian owned company

Services provided (eg. Real Estate Agent, Printing Company, Courier) must be 100% Australian owned, provided and housed in Australia.

TYPE 4 - CORE VOCATION / OCCUPATION / ORIGIN

Art/Products/Materials 80%

A Vocation must be of an Australian citizen and their finished works and materials must constitute at least 80% Australian origin. (For Art Works, Artists, Artisans, Designers, Authors or Talent)

TYPE 5 - PREMIUM LEVEL "100%" AUSTRALIAN

ALL OF THE ABOVE but at 100% status

(includes all aspects) of eg. packaging, printing, ownership, brand, ingredients, vocation, origin

Attributes Of A Licensee

GOODS & SERVICES NEED TO BE ETHICAL

The Goods and Services must follow and be in accordance with the iLAP's standards and adhere to iLAP’s criteria by comprising certain attributes such as: ethical, safe, nontoxic, nonharmful to humans and the environment, health promoting, healthy lifestyle related, sustainable, fair, fair trade, cruelty free as well as complying with all of the rules in the iLAP Certification. Where applicable all relevant and official Certificates, Awards, Classifications and Test results or other forms of proof relevant to each industry and national standard for the particulars claimed must be provided.

For Australian Products; the ownership of a company or parent company providing the Product does not need to be of Australian origin. However must be operating in Australia and their Products are of Australian origin and adhere to the iLAP's criteria and are in accordance with iLAP.

Use of a Distinction Requirements

Usage of other distinctions available and rules for using the addons, variations in conjunction near the Logo for eg. "Product Of Australia", "Product Of Victoria" STAMP: Sustainable, Cruelty Free, 100%:

TYPE 1

"Products Of Australia", "Products Of Victoria" and each other state of Australia

This type can be used along with the "iLAP" Trade Mark for more specific detail. Qualifying for one of the State distinctions means the majority of the components constitute the Goods from that area
and where relating to;
Services: the Licensee has the choice to display either;
Location where the company was founded; or
Head office if operating in more than one area; or
Location where the majority of service is undertaken

Qualifications such as "Sustainable"

Must be in accordance with the most current national certification rules for that qualification; and official Certificates, Test results, Awards according to industry must be provided with the application in order to gain usage rights.

 

Standards / Certifications such as "Cruelty Free"

Must be in accordance with the most current national certification rules for that qualification; and official Certificates, Test results, Awards according to industry must be provided with the application in order to gain usage rights.

 

Percentage rate display such as "100%"

Must be the exact percentage of ingredient / part / origin that the Licensee has stated on their Application in regards to their Goods and/or Services list and in accordance with the Goods and/or Services bearing the iLap Trade Mark.
 

Option to display compliance of Licensees own industry code

Must be in accordance with the most current relevant national compliance code for that industry.

Farm's / Author's / Artist's / Designer's / Musician's - Name

Must be where the majority of the components constitute the Goods or Services from that which is being Named

iLAP is not responsible whatsoever for the authenticity made by the Licensee regarding its claims of any added form near the Logo.
